The FIP Nanjing Statements, developed in 2016, are an invaluable resource to pharmacy education advancement. Educational institutions around the world can utilize these standards to monitor and evaluate local pharmacy education delivery, but methods in doing so are still in development. This session introduces a novel self-assessment tool based on the FIP Nanjing Statements and will share results from preliminary data on the status pharmacy education around the world, as it relates to the Nanjing Statements. The session also provides unique examples of how the FIP Nanjing Statements are being employed to improve pharmacy education globally. Individuals from varying backgrounds including school administrators, faculty, young pharmacists and students will describe their experiences working with and using the Statements. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss in small groups how they can implement the use of the Nanjing Statements in their educational institutions, generating inspiration and ideas from presented tools and examples.

  3. List examples of the use of the Nanjing statement assessment tool by different stakeholders
  4. Identify ways to implement the tool at your institution
